Terms of Service
How Audiostamps works.
In simple terms
- You own the audio you record.
- We store it and play it when you share a QR code or link.
- We don’t publish, promote, or broadcast your recordings.
In Plain English
Written to be clear and easy to understand.
By using Audiostamps, you agree to the Terms of Service described below.
If anything is unclear, please reach out. We’re happy to help.
1. What Audiostamps Is
Audiostamps is an audio storage and playback service.
- Each Audiostamp links one audio recording to a QR code or link.
- Audio plays only when a QR code is scanned or a link is opened.
- An optional image may be tagged to a recording and shown during playback.
Audiostamps is not a mass-media or broadcasting platform.
2. Users
There can be different people involved when an Audiostamp is used.
- Owner: the person or organisation that buys an Audiostamp.
- Recorder: a person who records audio using an Audiostamp. The Recorder may or may not be the Owner.
- Listener: a person who plays back audio by scanning an Audiostamp or opening a link. A Listener may or may not be the Owner or the Recorder.
Collectively, the Owner, Recorder, and Listener are referred to as “Users”.
When we use the word “You”, it can mean any of these Users depending on the context. For example, “You” might refer to an Owner when discussing managing Audiostamps, and it might refer to a Recorder when discussing recordings.
3. Managing and Using Audiostamps
- The Owner can manage their Audiostamps.
- The Owner and/or the Recorder may decide how their Audiostamps are shared.
- The Recorder is responsible for what they choose to record and any optional image they tag.
Audiostamps does not check or confirm relationships, permissions, or consent between Users.
4. Who Owns the Recordings
The Recorder owns their recordings.
- If you record the audio yourself, you own it.
- If someone else records audio using your Audiostamps, they own their recordings.
- Buying an Audiostamp does not give you ownership of someone else’s voice, recordings, or tagged images.
Audiostamps does not claim ownership of recordings or tagged images. We store and display them only to provide the service.
5. How Sharing Works
We do not publish or promote recordings.
- Sharing happens only when Users share a QR code or link.
- Users decide how to share.
If a recording has a tagged image, the image will be shown when the recording is played back.
6. Payments
Audiostamps does not process or store payment details.
All payments are handled by PayPal, a third-party payment provider. Audiostamps does not have access to your credit card or payment information.
7. Appropriate Use
Audiostamps is designed for storing and sharing audio for many different purposes.
- Do not record and upload sensitive or confidential information.
- Do not use Audiostamps for illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
8. How Long Audio Is Stored
Audio is intended to be stored long-term (“forever”) as long as Audiostamps continues to operate.
If this ever changes, Users will be notified and given time to download their recordings.
9. User Content & Liability
- You are responsible for the content you upload, record, or share.
- This includes recordings and any images tagged to recordings.
- Audiostamps does not review content before upload.
10. Service Availability
We aim to keep Audiostamps reliable, but interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical reasons.
11. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to any Audiostamp if these Terms are seriously violated.
12. Stopping Use
You may stop using Audiostamps at any time and delete any Audiostamps data that you own.
13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as Audiostamps evolves. Significant changes will be communicated clearly.
